This is my very first attempt at rendering a structure using charcoal as my medium. I stepped outside my quill pen comfort zone so I could work in front of the public at the Sandusky County Fair.
It is faster to use charcoal but one usually loses the detail of my normal pen and inks.
I took the time down from about 150 hours to do a quill pen rendering to about 9 hours to do an equivalent size charcoal drawing.
