This
is my very
first attempt
at Charcoal.
It was the
first year
that I did
the Sandusky
County Fair.
I decided to
try to speed
up the process
by changing
mediums. It
is faster to
use charcoal
but one usually loses the detail of my normal
pen and inks. I took the time down from about
150 hours to do a pen & ink rendering to
about 9 hours to do an equivalent size charcoal
rendering.
